BASF Targets End-to-End Supply Chain Transparency

July 11, 2018

BASF has successfully piloted Kinaxis, gaining supply chain visibility and proactive intelligent control of its supply chain.

“Creating a transparent and connected business process is key to our supply chain operations. Kinaxis provides us with the end-to-end planning platform necessary to support our Industry 4.0 initiatives, reducing planning latency, improving alignment of dependent processes, and fostering transparency between all functional elements of our business,” said Mr. Jan Brüning, Smart Supply Chain Cluster Lead, BASF.

For Kinaxis, BASF represents a growing number of process industry companies looking for new and improved methods for end-to-end planning and simulation. With Kinaxis, these companies can experience the dramatic performance gains that come from connecting all their data, processes, and people under one platform.

“We are excited to have one of the world’s leading chemical companies as part of our expanding list of enterprise customers in Europe. BASF’s digital initiative is at the forefront of innovation, and we are proud to have become part of their business fabric,” said John Sicard, Chief Executive Officer, Kinaxis. “Through concurrent planning in Kinaxis, BASF has the framework to establish continuous end-to-end planning alignment, and the unifying technology to drive digital connections between the broad functional groups that operate their supply chain.”
