Alphabet Misses on Revenue

Alphabet reported financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2018. Alphabet noted profits of $9.19 billion for the third quarter with expectations set at $10.42. Alphabet outlined that $1.38 billion were related to its investments.

The firm delivered revenue of $33.74 billion, up from $27.77 billion in the year-ago period. But, Wall Street was looking for $34.05 billion in revenue.

billions of people every day," said Ruth Porat, Chief Financial Officer of Alphabet and Google. "
