Civica Buys TranSend Solutions

Civica has acquired specialist software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider TranSend Solutions Limited.

TranSend is one of the UK’s leading providers of delivery management software to organisations with complex logistics and transport requirements. As part of the Group’s growth strategy, the acquisition adds new cloud software and customers to complement Civica’s existing TranMan software family for the sector. TranSend software is used by more than 75 major organisations, including Wessex Water, Seven Trent Water and Wincanton.

Its real-time, PDA and web-based delivery management and monitoring systems provide an end-to-end solution covering route optimisation, electronic proof of delivery, transport compliance and delivery intelligence, designed to maximise efficiency, reduce operational costs and improve the customer experience. TranSend’s electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) app with intelligent workflow, supports complex delivery and service processes whilst making it intuitive for drivers to operate, including sub-contractors and agency drivers.

TranSend will form part of an enlarged Transport & Blue Light business, further supporting Civica’s SaaS offerings for customers across the UK market.
